I am currently running a phosphate reactor with ferric oxide.....that being said, Since I have plenty of room in my reactor I was wanting to know if I could put the two (carbon and ferric oxide) in the same container (reactor)? Would there be some sort of counter balance thing going on? Any help would be great!

I keep them in seperate reactors because I run the water through the carbon faster then the PO4 media. The PO4 I want to just tumble a little and not blast it with water.

Have to be aware of the pollutants being removed by the filter media leaching back into the tank if not removed sooner than later...
    Good suggestion guys!
