I got my girl a year ago! YAY! I feel very accomplished. She was the hardest thing ever to train to frozen and I would watch them under a blanket for an hour everyday trying to catch them to eat in the beginning.... it led to many unscheduled naps.

They are in a temporary tank after the move, and we are presently cycling a new tank for them and their new friend, the Red Saddled Anthias.

The male was a bit stressed after the move and it took a couple of days for him to start eating again. The female never missed a beat.

    Here's to another year!

What ever happened to your 300 gallon thread?

Like the fish. Is this in your lionfish tank?

I'm working one the 210g smaller scorp tank first. I'm cutting the face panel right now (spits out sawdust). Then we will start again on the 300. Where the latter is going to be an inwall tank right in the middle of an important support beam, we are going to get a structural engineer in to evaluate our plans.

The filefish tank is a little 40g that is in my office.

Congratulations, it's good to hear that they made it through the move in good shape. I had read how much they mean to you.

I had read articles by ummfish and Matt Pedersen about keeping OSFF, and by chance found one at a lfs that was already eating frozen foods. After two days at home she was eating Nutramar Ova, and now she eats mysis as well. I would never mean to belittle how difficult these fish can be, because without the work of others, I would not have known how to care for her. I will have had her for two months now this Friday.

    Great pictures, too!

Congratulations on the 1 year mark! :) That's a very cool looking fish; the colors are so bright. Great pics too, very clear. What camera do you use?

I can't wait for the 300g build thread!
