So, finally it has begun. I want to say thank you to scott26 for a lot of help and inspiration.

The 90 gallon that I got off Craigslist had been sitting in the garage for a while and I finally got up and I started drilling last evening, but I couldnt finish it, the drill ran out of battery and got late. Managed to finish up today and tested fit of the bulkheads. Anyways, took some pics, just wanted to share with you guys.

    -Bean Animal
    -Mag Drive 18 return
-29 gallon sump (still lurking on the Craigslist, no luck yet, most likely use the current tank as a sump/fuge)

Size comparison with the current 29. I like it big!

Nerve racking moment. Even tho I have drilled before, still the sound and the vibration in my hand make me nervous.

    Voila!
3x 1" for the overflow. The holes are 2" apart each other (edge to edge).
    2x 3/4" the return.

I managed to have the chip minimal. Decent cuts I think.

Just wanted to see how itd look in the living room. We like it!

Its missing one more bulkhead and elbow, I will salvage them from the current 29.

    1" inlet to 1.5" sanitary.

Still debating if I should go full Coast 2 Coast (like 38~40" long?) or semi C2C (20" long?) to keep the low profile.. What do you think?

Great start, the longer the overflow the thinner the sheet of water and the quieter it will be. Ideally you have the overflow across the entire length.

Thanks and I know the feeling. Just keep looking. Craigslist is your friend. :)

    I said that 40" C2C, but most likely 38" x 5" deep x 3" wide to be exact.

    Got some plumbing work done.

I picked up a 20Long for the sump/fuge. We (mainly the wife) got tired of waiting/hoping for a decent used tank to show up on Craigslist, so this is gonna be the sump to work with.

I WILL start calling the local glass shops, I swear! (for the overflow box and sump baffles. )
