Sand?

    Any chance ya can get me about 50 pounds of dry sand so I can just order everything I need from you? need a CUC refresher, some pods and chaeto, and maybe any other cool critter ya may have in stock;)

    Unfortunately we do not carry sand, if we did it would have to ship separately.

    Steve at reef rocks has great white argonite sand, there might be a deal going on as well. I didnt even have to rinse it, just dumped it right on in :)

    We tried to carry that same Bahamas aragonite but had metal issues, when you ran a magnet through it you would come up with little bits of metal.

    so what sand would you buy john? pressure!?lol I'll promise a big order from ya next week or 2 if ya pick wisely? lol more than likely you'll still get the order but ya got knowledge i don't!

    Sand is really up to you, I would make sure you like the look of it above most things. If you are worried about metal you can always filter it out yourself now that you know to look for it. I think if I were to start a tank today I would use the Fiji Pink sand, I like the look of it, but that is the major reason.

    thx John, look is obviously important but functionality is important too, don't want it blowing around, but want most bio filter as possible.

    Unless you are going with a deep sand bed, it won't matter much filtration wise.
