Craigslist stuff I bought against my better judgement, how does it look?

    Hey all, I did go ahead and buy the stuff I mentioned in an earlier post because It looked pretty good and the guy knew his stuff, here are some pics of everything:


    70 Watt Viper HQI
    2x 250 watt metal halide pendants with sunlight co. ballast
    aqua UV sterilizer
    small PC fixture
    30" PC fixture w/moonlight
    Eco Aquilizer x225 (free, didn't pay for it)
    float valve kit (free)
    Kent marine MAXIMA RO/DI that appears to be missing a pressure gauge and there is some tubing that looks like its been cut from the system.
    50 Gallon acrylic tank, pre drilled w/ overflow



    all for $250 (255 if you count a TON of flourish chemicals that haven't even been opened for my planted tank, 3 Jugs (1 excel, 1 flourish, 1 iron) and 2 500ml bottles (trace elements)

    Nice score. That is a VERY good reflector / ballast combo. I see Pheonix 14Ks in your future.....

    Will I ever need to replace that ballast? And I don't know what I have to do to make that rodi run, also, is it ok to buy aquatraders metal halide bulbs? I really don't mind the color difference but would it effect my coral?
