I was thinking about mounting one or all of my ballast on top of my canopy. Anyone ever done this? I don't really have any other good place to mount them. The one for my actinics is pretty small, so I will probably try with it and see how it goes. Anyone have any advice???

Bad Idea mount it to a board set it on a sheet of aluium flashing to serve as a heat sink and set it or mount it up under the tank so that water can not fall or drip onto it.. Never put on or on a hood heat and salt mist will eat them up. Matters not if it is T 5 P/C VHO NO or M/H transformers
