I use locktite superglue gel, same stuff i use to glue frags, it works pretty good i just put it in a dish an dab the lens and place it on the LED. Make sure you don't get any glue in/over the actual hole where the LED fits into the lens because it slightly reduced the light.

From what I hear (from rapid led) you should not use superglue due to the gases it gives off could cloud the led..I used the thermal paste that is used to mount the stars.just dab a little on the lens and then mount...

are you using the thermal adhesive or compound?

Rapid told me either thermal adhesive or plastic epoxy.
I am hoping to find something local. I would think you could put a dot of glue on the outside could you not?

I used the adhesive..I mixed small amounts at at time, then using a tooth pick(or something close),placed a small amount of adhesive to two-three sides of the lens bottom.(IMPORTANT be careful not to get it on the LED itself).press down for a sec or two, then let dry for 5-10 min per LED before movement/use..you should be good to go....Again just my 0.02..8)

Correct, don't use superglue for this reason.

Loctite Stik'n Seal has been shown to be acceptable for this. You can find it at Wal Mart or the like.

I thought so since it had nothing to do with what I asked.

Thanks to those that helped. I glued the lenses down. only had one that would not fit right so I will have to buy a new led and lens. It lets some light out from under the lens.
