My first Inverts

I added the first 2 creatures to my first tank last night. I got an emerald crab and a peppermint shrimp. I floated them for about 20 minutes, then did a slow drip acclimation for about an hour. The shrimp got added first and immediately took shelter under the rocks. the crab got added and sat in the front corner of the tank for about 15 minutes then started moving around. After about an hour the shrimp was hiding in a crevice in the rocks, and the crab was climbing all over the rocks eating a ton of algae. They seem to be doing well.

I also added my lights for the first time since the completion of the nitrogen cycle. They are just standard lighting for now. but hopefully it will start to build beneficial algae for the crab to munch on.

congrats! hand tame your crab! I got crab pellets and put some between your fingers, once he eats one, he'll come after yeah for them!
