    hello i am going to buy an anenome soon( bubble, long tenticle, or condy) how do you no if the anenome is heathy or not ,can you give me some ideas what to look for in a heathy anenome.thanks

    when looking for a healthy anemone you wanna look at its color, mouth and foot.

    make sure its not bleached, mouth is tightly closed, and no damages to the foot.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Should be firmly attached.

    Good coloration, sticky to the touch. Oral opening tightly closed.

    If you have clown fish get an anemone significantly larger than your clownfish.

    Cover powerheads appropriately.

    +1 to both.

    Also, if you're looking for a clownfish host, you might want to steer clear of the condy. I've only seen one host a clown- a yellow-striped cinnamon. OTOH, I owned one that stung my ocellaris when he got too close, although it did eventually host a domino damsel. FWIW, condys are not a *natural* host for clownfish.

    I agree with other posters. The foot needs to be attached and in good condition!
