1st is what I believe is Red Corraline...I thought it might be algae of some sort but it's hard as rock and impossible to scrape off. If it is Red Corraline...why isn't it flat? I thought it was suppose to spread out being flat not build up in a bunch of different places like trees.

2nd no clue. It's only about a 1/4 inch tall growing down to the right(South East on a compass).

    Thanks in advance!

P.S. My tank is only 5 weeks old, been cycled, and has 6 hermit crabs in it.

the first image looks like some sort of branching softie? Is it hard or soft to the touch. I'm glad Coraiiline knew the second because I had not seen that before. Going to go check out what it is....

The way it's placed in the live rock I can't fit my large fingers between it...so I guess I'll have to wait until it's bigger to touch it.
