I recently bought some live rock from a fellow hobbyist and I knew it had some aiptasia on some of the rock but then I found a little colony of these "polyps" only on one piece of rock. Are they a kind of majano anemone? They don't look like any other aiptasia I've seen. They have a really nice color to them, kind of a green body with real bright red tips and are only about an inch across. Any ideas?

Very pretty Majano, but pest anemones non the less.

Wait until others chime in though.

I was kinda thinking majano but it doesn't look like the ones I have had before. I guess beauty/pest is in eye of the beholder :)

They are very pretty, but if majano they will take over in no time.

I agree with majanos. I know a guy that maintains a 220g tank at a doctors office that is invested with these things. they spread like aiptasia, just a little nicer looking.

This is true. You could always set up a species tank for them. :D

Honestly, I was not. Your question sparked a search, and this is what I found.

Manjano Anemone, Majano Anemone, Anemonia manjano Manjo Anemone Guide

You could only be so lucky as to have acquired such a lovely anemone that obviously has no problem reproducing aka a pest anemone. It may not be a common type Majano or a Majano at all but it's probably a safe guess that it's a pest anemone of some type.

One mans pest anemone is another mans petty little anemone.

If it were my tank I would not purposely introduce them.
