    Bubble algae.... probably the best kind of nuissance algae to have. Definitely beats having green hair algae or cyano IMO.

    Most mithrax crabs will eat it. You can also remove them manually by hand, simply twist it off where it connects; careful, as they will multiply if you pop one by accident and it releases its contents into the water stream (they are very tough to pop though, so it should not be a problem).

    Lots of people say that they grow quickly, I have never had a problem with fast reproduction of these things, however keeping your phos and nitrates down to 0 will slow things down. But definitely try the mithrax crab thing for starters- it took care of mine a year ago, and have never seen any since.

    Thats the worst kind of green bubble algae, it is not valonia, it is Ventricaria ventricosa aka "Sea Pearl". It will take over your tank if you dont remove it. Nothing eats it.

    If you can pick that rock out of your tank, they are easy to remove. Then just rise off after you pick them off.
