    I was looking at my refuge last night looking for pods and found an alien. I ran got the camera and snapped away.

    Ahh I love nudibranchs. He probably eats what he looks like.

    Unfortunately I can not give you any type of ID, there are hundreds of different types.

    As long as it is in the sump it's probably safe.

    They do look like what they eat, such as xenia eating nudi's look like xenia, zoanthids eating nudi's look like the type of zoanthids they eat so on and so further.

    So speculation would lead me to believe yours eats macro algaes.

    The site is no longer active but there are a ton of links to take you where you need to go. I have still never figured out a quick way to get an ID on nudibranchs/sea slugs. They are fascinating creatures though. Unfortunately very few are user friendly. Specialized eaters with short life spans.

    Start your search under "Elysia" species :) It's an algae eater. I don't have time to scroll through them right now, but it may be a variant of Elysia papilosa. Some of them are more green, some more white, but they have the little papillae like yours.
