So I have been putting this off for a couple of weeks but finally decided to do it before sitting down to write a paper :) I think it came out so so but I am quite sure it will function well. Forgive the duct tape holding up the poly tubing it was just the easiest way at the time.

    Materials:
2 Gallon bucket (never will get filled more than 1 gallon)
    1/4" Poly tubing
    John Guest style valve
    LFS Shutoff Valve
    Piece of scrap acrylic

The valve is almost all the way off, and the bucket does not sit high above the valve so that at most when the valve is open I get a fast drip.

Let me know what you think.

Looks really good. How much did it cost?

I didn't think to put my container inside the stand. Thanks for the idea

Total about 30 dollars I believe. Had I bought the shut off valve online instead of a LFS it would have been closer to 15.

A quick google search shows that aKerick Valve MA252 Adjustable Arm Float Valve Assembly which is the same thing and costs about $8. I know other people have used this style valve and have found them around $5. I paid $15.99. So yes huge mark up.

I built mine exactly the same way, and it's been running without problem for two years now.
