I was just wondering (DaColts especially if you are following this)

I am going to make this Coiled Denitrator that was discussed on the thread about removing nitrates....and I was given a 2 foot piece of 4 inch PVC. Is that too fat for this project?

Will it work just as well? Better even? Is it a problem?

I will post progress steps here as I make it....Thanks All!!

It's hard to find, but it does say 1/4" tubing :)

Right, I have the 1/4 inch tubing, I meant the size of the external tube...that the 1/4 gets coiled into... ;D

    Oh sorry, I misunderstood LOL

I can't see that the size would make any difference other than being wide enough to fit the coil in.

As a tip, you can use a narrower piece of piping to wrap the 1/4 tube around to make it easier to wind up :)

Yeah well I tried to make one last year and trying to coil the 1/4 inch tube inside the other bigger tube is EXTREMELY frustrating :)

I ended up throwing the whole lot out the back door a few times :)
