Missing fin?

    One of my 6" gold fish all of the sudden started laying sideways as if it was dying. So i test water, and just thought it was dying, Its day 3 and still alive and it has been eating. I noticed a front Fin is missing. Would this cause this, will it die even though its eating, and can it grow back?

    Even if you are unsure of the exact cause, you could dose your fish bowl with Mela-fix as a preventative measure against further infection. It could also be a parsitic or fungal attack, but you need to find out what it is for sure so you can treat for it specifically.

    90% sure it was a fish bite from a green spotted puffer.
