    Have long and often seen stated both ways...

    Does a clown fish "host" an anemone?

    Or does an anemone "host" a clown?

    :-/


    (and conceivably, I guess, be either way...:confused:)

    IMO the anenome is the host since the clown lives in the anenome... Never really thought about it before...

    anenome hosts!!!but we say it opposite because we are humans and not fish.

    I guess we should say the anemone "hosts" the fish and the fish "guests" the anemone! :)

    almost like saying did you marry your wife or did your wife marry you?
