    Sponges are animals. Not only that, sponges may have been one of the first multicellular animals on earth. These nuggets, and much, much more in this amazing blog post on sponges by Jennifer Frazer for Scientific American. If you are a sponge fan - perhaps yours hitched a ride on a live rock like mine - then you definitely need to read this. It's a truly absorbing read. :)

    I wish I had some more sponges.

    All the ones I have so far are clear. I'd love to see some more color with them! Def cool little creatures though.
