Default Coralife Power Center Multi-Timer Problem

An old problem with my Coralife Power Center Multi-Timer seems to be reoccuring.

It won't turn off!

I was gone for a couple days and I think my halide was on for 24 hours!

I will play with the tabs today and take a closer look.

Anyone else have this problem?

Matt,
I thought I read an article about those timers one time that advised people not to buy them because they can fail and cause a potential fire hazard. I'll see if I can find it and post back.

But, yes I have heard of people having problems with those timers.

Great. You know what... I bought the new digital coralife one because I left town yesterday and wanted to set it up before I left.

GUESS WHAT. I put the supplied battery in it and it didn't work! I think the battery is dead. So now I am gone for a few days and I really don't know if my old timer turned off or not. Oh boy.

hey there Matt, did you ever figure out how to fix this. I am on my SECOND coralife dual timer with the circular dials and it is starting to FAIL again. The first one started to fail after 6 months and now the second one is doing the same thing!! My actinic won't turn off no matter how many times I turn the dial. The 10K lamp works fine so far, but I just had to unplug the actinic for the night.

IMO circular dial timers suck and aren't as reliable as digital. Pulling out tabs for the on/off times don't work that well!
