Ricordia or yuma?

    Is this a ricordia or yuma or are they really the same? I have been buying them from a LRS as ricordia. They are a bit more orange than my camera depicts. Forgive my stupidity. I don't know corals like I should, keeping reef and all.

    thats a ricordia florida, yumas are rics too just different species

    That looks like a yuma species to me. What I've noticed when looking at yumas and ricordeas is that yuma's tend to have elongated bubbles that stretch. Whereas ricordea has a lot of fine short bubbles (very round). I dunno, maybe a shroom expert can shine more on this thread.

    The easiest way to tell, which you can't from this picture is the mouth. A florida will have a smooth one. no bubbles on it. A yuma will have bubbles that go all the way up the mouth.

    So take a look and let us know which you have.

    See the bubbles around the mouth of the yuma? It's smooth around the florida.
