I've looked at a few videos of pulsing xenia on You Tube, and I hate to brag, but mine blows away any I've seen. Infact, I thought it was such a perfect specimen, I'd take a short video and post it.

I'm in the middle of a water change here, so the main pump is off, and the vortech and koralia are likewise unplugged. The water is perfectly calm and the xenia is pumping like mad.

    Enjoy!

    Picture-perfect pumping xenia coral.

Pepsi challenge. LOL. Last time I heard that expression was in Pulp Fiction. " Now, my s$&@, I'll take the Pepsi challenge with that Amsterdam &!$#%, any day of the f!%@%*& week."

Bring it on, you tatooed freak!! LOL.

A little history. .. my buddy from whom I scored the Coralife halide system, had me take a head of xenia out of his tank from his house. His xenia was growing like weeds, and was encroaching on his new clam.

I took it home in a zip top baggie, superglued it to a tiny piece of LR rubble, and there it is a week later. It's already established a great foothold on the rock. Unfortunately you can't see it pulsing so much in the current. That's why I was so amazed by its pulsing when the pumps were off.

Be careful with it. It can get out of hand. You'll see mine if my computer would hurry up. Started with the same size frag. Already chopped it up and given away a bunch.

That's why I put it on a tiny piece of LR, which is on sand. The only way this sucker is growing is up.
