| Brown Slime eating away my Torch Corals! Hello I have had 2 Torch corals doing fine since 10/02
I noticed the other night that a brown bag like substance was eating my corals down to the skeleton
one head at a time till there was nothing left.
I put some Stop Aptasia on the brown slime and it did not spread to any other coral heads the rest of the torch corals are doing fine now.
Does anyone know what that brown stuff is?

| Re: Brown Slime eating away my Torch Corals! Hi
Sounds like "brown jelly" infection which is a bacteria that attacks some corals.
Try this link http://www.aquarium.net/0197/0197_2.shtml

The organization is like a tree full of monkeys, all on different limbs at different levels. Some monkeys are climbing up, some down. The monkeys on top look down and see a tree full of smiling faces. The monkeys on the bottom look up and see nothing but a&&holes. |

| Re: Brown Slime eating away my Torch Corals! Thanks JohnO!
This post was bugging me today because I knew I had read about this somewhere. I did a little digging and found the same kind of stuff as John. Plenty on the net about it. Seems curable if treated early on. |
