My new friend!

So it was pouring rain today here, in Austin. Something showed up that I had never come across in Ohio.



I have no idea what kind of snail it is, but I'm pretty happy with the quality of this picture, especially since i took it with my 3 year old phone!

Edit: After a bit of Google-Fu I have found out that it is a Milk Snail, and it's actually an invasive species that is going to eat my Jalepeno plant!

 

awesome snail, how big is it? awesome how you guys in different states have so many cool things. we have rats that run around in the city... but i live in queens so there is none of those really. Besides the Racoons that raid the garbage cans lol.

 

The shell was probably about the size of a quarter in diameter. I'm from around Cleveland, so I'm used to seeing raccoons and opossums lol

 

so, missing Cleveland yet lol - that is a great little picture there. How are you liking Texas and when did you move??

 

I LOVE Texas. I arrived in Austin on the 3rd of Feb. The 1500 Mile drive was worth it lol.

My first degree came from UT Austin! What a fun time that was, and somehow seemed to learn one or two things too.

I learned one thing- I often wish I was back in Austin!

Ya got to go to Barton Springs Pool, and Hamiltons Pool, it's a Rite of Passage if you're in Austin.

 

I'm not really IN Austin, but a suburb of sorts. Georgetown, north of Round Rock. Just back from Blue Hole!
