Hi, I got a very nice and healthy looking peice of galaxia coral. It was fully opened in the store and i kept an eye on it for a month at the LFS. I bought it and took it home. Its been about a week and it doesnt look fully open like it did in the store. I checked all my perams and they are all fine. PLEASE help.-

How is your lighting compared to the stores? Also how high do you have it in the tank? It may just take it a while to get used to your lighting, are the little sweepers coming out at all?

Your lighting should be more then enough for the galaxia, they are very easy to damage though so extra care should be taken when handling. If you arent noticing any die off I would just wait a few days and see if it comes around, it may just be adjusting to your aquarium. We had a frag of galaxia a few months back that got destroyed by our urchin, they are awesome looking corals and very interesting. How big is yours?

Not a bad buy. I was reading your other post and the nitrates are more then likely wats to blame for the Galaxia acting weird.
