I did a pretty large water change today, and just recently noticed bright orange coraline on my overflow. There's actually three colors overlapping in places. Pretty cool though I understand it likely won't stick around?

Apparently there's a blue out there also. I think it'd be cool to have a bunch of different colors.

I do have some orange, red and purple/pink but for some reason mostly lime green, blue would be very nice, but yes i too understand it will change to the more desirable purple colour eventually, i had grey/white to , but that was dead when i added it lol

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
This happens to me when I have a significant change in ALK. The orange is usually just dead coralline that turn grey or white eventually.

My coralline also turns that cool orange when it dies. I took out my mp10 pump to clean. i dropped it in a bucket of vinegar and water for a few minutes. afterwards my pump was orange for about 2 days before turning white.

Hmm... I did just do a big water change to try to correct my values. Perhaps I should remeasure them. I also made up some kalkwasser! Not to dose yet :)
