I have some algae looking stuff on my sand... It looks like a pinkish color. Is this some form of coraline? I am starting to get the pink algae on everything.

Will Corraline grow with Cyno present ? I have been dealing with small amounts of Cyno...and I also think I have some corraline appearing Tank is approx 2 months old ...My Phosphates have been an issue which I think I have linked to my Fuge getting started and some Macro dying off as I get it all started up. PO4 has been runniing around .04 -.06 lately.

they can and do exist at same time - both types utilise different elements the presence of PO4 can negatively affect the growth of Coralline

cyno loves the calm areas in the tank/ fuge - so increased water movement after manual removal can help prevent recurring episodes
