| Re: Cyanobacteria, 3 Parts, 3 Links... Ah, Albert Theil. I have a couple of his books on the shelf. What ever happened to that guy? I don't hear his name as much these days.
Anyway, great intro to Cyano. These links should go in the algae section of the 'links library' for sure.
Another way to get cyano out of the display tank is to 'move' it to a scrubber or refugium. I was playing ping-pong with Rob Toonen on a thread a few months back and he threw up some interesting stats on algae nutrient uptake. Caulerpa, halimeda (spelling!) , etc couldn't hold a candle to Cyano. It sucked up more nutrients than them all by a huge margin! |

| Re: Cyanobacteria, 3 Parts, 3 Links... Matt u mentioned to add your display tank to a refugium to get rid of canyo. How does the refugium help prevent it? I used the product (chemi-clean) about 6 week ago and its coming back. Its starting to grow on my sand . I am intrested to know why and how a refugium will help rid it. Thanks
Danny

Where is the part about just dumping 100 hermit crabs and turbo snails in the tank?
