    Thanks for the vid mate, coincidentally i have left over stuff from another project that i can make a LED light with but never thought to do it or really knew how so thanks for the inspiration :)

    Great instructional vid. Glad to see you're spreading knowledge and awareness of led's.

    I notice at the end you mention the brightness. The first thing I built for my first S/W tank (it was a 5 gal on a tight budget) was a moonlight in which I used an old usb cable (the tank was on my desk) to provide power to a couple led's on a piece of veroboard.

    Im getting off topic, to diffuse the light (not to mention seal the circuit) I coated the entire assembly with hot melt glue (glue gun) and as it starts to cool you can mold it a bit or even just pressing on it lightly makes it opaque so that it dulls and diffuses the light. The nice this is it can easily be reheated if you want to experiment with different shapes and textures to get the result that you desire as well as making it safer in the even that it falls into the tank.
