Now you can earn karma by submitting articles to 3reef!

[IMG] - And you get this badge too!

Is there something you've learned a lot about in this hobby and would like to share with others?

Have you learned how to take good pics of your tank?
Know some easy ways of adjusting protein skimmers?
Know a lot about different halide bulbs?
Do you have a fish/coral that you think should be Fish/Coral of the Month?

Well now you can earn 50 karma for each article!
In addition you will get a 3reef Contributor badge in your profile!

I'd like to make 3reef the 'Wikipedia' for reef enthusiasts and I need your help. 3reef has grown so large that most of my time is now spent doing security updates and software upgrades. I have very little time to write new content... besides my experience is limited ... it would be better to have all 3reefers contribute!

So the 3reef Articles Section is now open to all 3reef members. Simply click the 'new thread' button and post like you would in the forum. Then your article will be displayed and views and ratings of your article will be logged. You will have a permanent spot in 3reef history! :) After there are several articles in the section, I will add categories and organize the content.

Your article should be at least a page long or so and will be reviewed after posting by 3reef moderators for content. Reef-related articles only.

(Fish of the Month should be submitted via PM to Matt Rogers or fellow moderators. Use the Template posted below)

So if you'd like to help 3reef be a more dynamic content-rich site and earn some karma doing it, please post below and I'll add you to the initial sign up sheet.

    THANK YOU 3REEFERS!

    Matt

That's my sense of humor. You don't recognize a puffer when you see it? :)

Looks like we have a contributor for coral of the month - keep them coming guys. 8)

I really appreciate it and think it will help me, the site and everyone here. It doesn't have to be a book. Just think of it as a permanent post. ;)

    Awesome!

Fantastic job Covey. Everybody should check it out! :thumbs_up :clapping:

I love the examples. The only thing I'd add, if anything, is a bit for newbies on how to expect algae blooms during their tanks initial cycle.

Great subject to cover and you did it well.

Reef Lover thanks for your contribution too. Another great subject. My 2 cents would be just to throw a bit in there on how they relate to aquariums - your experiences with some of them in the aquarium, that sort of thing.

I've updated both of your profiles and gave you each 50 karma. Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate it. 8) 8) 8)
