I have a yellow tang housed in a 55 long. My rock is almostt half way up the tank and more to the back of the tank leaving plenty of ground space for different corals There is a great deal of swimming space and lil caves and rocks to swim through, this tang is about 3 inches in length now. How large could he get before it would be advisable to send him to someone with a larger tank? The rest of the fish are fairly small. I feed every third day so he will be a fairly slow grower I am just wondering how large you would let him get before you got rid of him?

Tangs like a LOT of room, I have one in my 75g, about 4" long, considering trading with someone, he just seems cramped.
