Can they cohabitant in the same tank?

I have a 125g FOWLR with a Yellow Tang, 4 yellow tail damsels and 2 clown fish & a few snails.

I want to buy a Niger trigger. Also, do Niger triggers each snails?

    Thanks for any advice!

if your going to add a trigger it will eat anything it can fit in its mouth.
SO all your clowns, damsels snails, shrimps may fall victim to it. The yellow tang stays pretty small but have heard tangs can be good tankmates for triggers, but the yellow may be too small.

Yes, Nigers will eat snails. Lots of them and shrimp, and crabs. I cannot have a traditional CUC in my tank. I have a niger in my 150 and since adding him, I been unable to add any other fish. He is fine with the fish that were already in the tank.

Yah I have a Niger in my mixed reef...still pretty little but I would say my snail and hermit crab population has taken a hit and I do replenish them...I have a yellow tang and no issues with the . The Niger gets along with everyone in tank, I have clownfish, six line, watanabe angel, tomini tang, and the yellow tang. Was going to add another fish of some sort but my lfs thought best to leave as is due to the semi aggressiveness nature of the fish. The tank is a 120g. The Niger has been a delight for me so far
