    Just out of curiosity since I'm trying to figure out my stock, are longnose butterfly fish known to attack a cleaner shrimp or reef hermit crabs?

    The answer to your question is no longnose butterfly fish don't attack cleaner shrimp and or hermit crabs. They will swim up to then to be cleaned of parasites if anything.
