I have a 72 gallon bowfront with 50 pounds of live rock with 40 more waiting to be added. I have 3 corals so far but I am slowly building up. For stocking I have 1 ocellis clown flish, 1 solar wrasse, 1 sleeper blue dot goby, 2 chalk bass (trying to get 3 more). I had a filimented flasher wrasse but he went carpet surfing. I am wondering what I should I add a wrasse or tang? I know if I get another wrasse I will go either 6 line or flasher. I don't know anything about tangs so any suggestions would be great.

id go with a flasher, a small tang would be fine for about a year or so but would out the tank fast

I would get the wrasse first, If you add a tang now it will be aggressive towards all new tangs you might add later. Also when you do get a tang I recommend only the zebrasomas such as the yellow tang and sailfin tang, because they don't require as much room as bigger tangs.

I don't recommend any tang for that size tank but if you are going to do one, I would look at some of the bristletooth tangs

FWIW, sailfins get like 14" long. They are actually one of the biggest tangs.

I recommend a bristletooth tang. A tomini Tang or a kole tang stay smaller and are great reef janitors.
