being an england fan, i think they played very well for the first 10 minutes but were bullied towards the first half, fabio capello needs to realise that if his team arent scoring for 45 minutes, he has to make changes to players, the problem is he hasnt brought to africa a dynamic range of players, he swapped james milner for wright philips, which in english football, is exactly the same player

kudos to tim howard, unlucky mis-hap for robert green. fabios second mistake was playing the second choice keeper first, you should never underestimate a team, joe hart, who is currrently on loan to another premier league club from my club manchester city, was given the number one shirt, he should have played joe hart throughout.

well done to usa, but i guarantee england will make it through the group stages

Yeah, i forsee USA and England making it through the group. Another little thing that I like about soccer is that they still allow team celebrations after a goal as compared to American football. Slovenia's win is going to put a little pressure on the US as that means we are down 2 points already.

thread back up due to the USA and England both being in action again later today , both need to win their respective games with Slovenia and Algeria

also wanted to add - Spain getting beat was a shock , but great performances over last few days by Argentina and Mexico IMO

    great game of football IMHO

heads could have dropped at 2-0 , it was great to see the pride and passion that got it back to 2-2

and I agree that the disalllowed goal was harsh, far worse incidents happen in penalty areas at free kicks and corners, week in , week out in most domestic leagues
I think the ref got that one wrong

great game of football, a well spent 90 + minutes for me , IMHO

I definitely had some things to say about the ref in that game. But I can't say them on family forum.

Definitely made me mad. Those calls completely screwed over the U.S. We definitely would have had a win if those calls weren't being pulled out of the ref's rear end.
