No, I don't feel like making my own stand. It will also void the warranty on the tank.

860.00 for a stand? Wow, I paid 550.00 for mine & I thought that was expensive. The stand looks to be fully closed that the top (from what I can see). If that is the case, then the stand is solid enough to hold the tank. Providing that the tank's edge is fully braced onto the stand.

When all else fails, you can call either mfg & ask them. Ask to speak to a tech vs a sales person.

Tech support at All-Glass is GREAT!

Really? Huh, well I guess I voided the warranty on my AGA 40gal. Then again I did convert it to a sump/refuge, then added glass dividers & then drilled it. Hmmm, I was worried about the stand. lol.... ;D

55 and up have a lifetime warranty. The manufacture (AGA/perfecto/name brands) ask for a photo of the tank on the stand. If the stand is not an actual aquarium stand (manufactured for aquariums) they will not send you a new tank and consider your warranty void. Basically a way to make you spend more $ on their products.

Ok this is not the same stand you posted before. I would check with both mfg to make sure. Plus, what is the max weight the stand can withstand. Some stands are designed for freshwater, non reef, & others are reef.

Remember reef systems weight a lot more than other systems do to live rock, live sand, coral, live stock & etc....

My stand is made of solid oak. Even though it states oak, it may be referring to the color or grain style.

Same stand, just a the correct size. I saw one at another LFS and inspected it closely. Seemed well build and the aquarium will be supported well. No staples holding a rim onto the stand that the tank sits on like the pine stands. Solid oak going straight up to support the stand on top of a full bottom. They had a full 75RR on the stand. I decided to push and shake the stand from multiple angles and it did not budge. Seems solid.
