It will be ok for soft coral, mushrooms, and LPS (higher up on some liverock). I don't think it will be strong enough for SPS. I have that same one on my 55 gallon.

Like Bogie said you might want to check light requirements before you purchase corals that lighting might not be enough for some corals.

it'll definitely work for softies and LPS, but no SPS. I have the same on my 90 and i'm growing brains on the sand, so LPS and softies should be good anywhere in the tank, barring Elegance.

If you browse through this thread, you'll see the coral that I've been keeping under that Power Compact lighting. It was the best deal for a 48" tank that I could find. Does the one you're looking at have the lunar lighting LEDs? They're not necessary, but they let you see what's going on in the tank when the main lights go off. I'd get the coralife dual analog timer with that fixture to set your lights on a lighting schedule - plus it's 1000x better than turning them on/off manually every morning and night.

I have the same fixture also on my 55.like Bogie said check the lighting requirements before you buy,it will save you allot of grief, there's nothing like the grief of buying a coral and watching it deteriorate due to poor lighting.IMO I stay away from any corals that have a high lighting requirement.
