I setup a 20L for peacock mantis a couple days ago and havnt gotten the shrimp yet, but will be this week or the next week. I have heard mixed thoughts on the 20L being okay, its glass..But my LFS says its okay for a 20L. What do you guys think?

It all depends how one defines a peacock mantis. There are two species that are called peacocks. If it's a Neogonodactylus wennerae it should be fine. However, if it's an Odontodactylus scyllarus it's NOT EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE to fine.

EDIT: My first reading of your post made me think you were talking about a 20 Liter tank as opposed to a 20 Long. You could put either species in a 20 long as long as you put a piece of plexiglass on the bottom (as the bottom isn't tempered). An O.s. could break the walls of a 20 long however that's only going to happen if someone is purposely irritating it.

Not only do they look different, there is a huge size difference. I pick up N. wennerae with my hand. When I'm dealing with O. scyllarus, I would never in a million years put my hand near one that isn't one of mine.
