I am seeing white spots on coralline. The lighting did change in the aquarium. I read white coralline is dead coralline but I am not sure about this.

is it along the edges? if so, its new coraline growing and spreading , if its in the middle , its more than likely turning into a "bump" . sorry for the improper terminology.

My blue legged hermit does this to my coralline, he ocassionally grazes on it and causes spots and scratch marks where he has been.

They are pretty consistent and perfect dots on the entire live rock piece, I don't think it is invert related in my case.
