White particles/microorganisms on glass

    Most likely...went away after a few days and haven't been back since. Now I have green slime/hair algae instead, lol. Would this signify the near end of my cycle? Ammonia & Nitrites are 0 and Nitrates are up (can't give a number right now, I'm at work).

    Yes typically is does signal the end of the cycle for the things that you can test for. Have you had the typical diatom bloom yet ?

    Of course you will not know until you test.

    That's the weird thing...I haven't had the typical diatom bloom yet. This is my first algae bloom in this tank.

    Well I would not be the a bit surprised if that was next, followed by some green hair algae.


    The Palu islands. It is one of the top suba diving areas in the world, as you can probably tell from the photo. A lot of old aircraft wrecks and ship wrecks mixed in with some of the finest corals out there.
