White Fuzzy Ball on My Live Rock

    Does anybody know what this is or what made it? Is it okay to leave in my tank or do I need to remove it? Last night it was not there - woke up this morning and there it was.

    can't see the pic but google pineapple sponge. If so its good for your tank

    +1 to Pineapple Sponge. FWIW, there are many species of sponge that seem to crawl out of the sand or rockwork. All are equally harmless and beneficial.

    oh thank you so much... i dont have any more of these in the tank that I can see but last night when I came home it was not a white fuzzy ball anymore - it looked more flat and yellow. I will keep and eye on it. Thank you
