I've had a mixed reef aquarium before and.i loved it.. But I went from a 60 gallon to a 110 gallon.. Now I'm wondering if I should go predator tank or reef again.. Right now I have a goby 2 perculas and a blue tang.. Are they ok to be with predator fish ( triggers, puffers, wrasse.. Etc... ) how many predator fish will be ok? What are.considered predator fish?

Reef tank all the way ;D

But really, which would you prefer? As far as your current livestock, I'm not sure if they would work in a predator tank. I'll let someone else chime in on that part ;)

It really does depend on what you like...if you like fish, go with fish tank and maybe some mushrooms for color and such. If your clowns are estabished in the tank, and the blue tang is pretty big, you could add quite a variety of fish. Triggers are awesome and some are even considered somewhat "reef safe". I know I repeat myself a lot but I have not found angels to be too aggressive. You should be able to add additional tangs. When I think predator, I tend to think aggressive but you may want to think in terms of color and compatability. Many of these fish are predators on inverts so that is your choice. I'll let others more knowledgeable about what defines "predator" fish.

I know going with fish is a lot less expensive and much less maintenance than a reef that's for sure!
