hmmm im thinking about going led too and radion does seem to be a good choice. how big is your tank? would 2 not be an overkill? i have 150cm (59 inch) long tank for a total of 450 l (118 gallons) not sure if one radion unit is enough

go for the Radions.... i switched from MH to the radion led and in a months time i can see a difference in my corals they love appear to love it, my pineapple tree is feeding all day when it didn't do that before. i also now have sunrise sunset and a moon light plus 8 hours of darkness programed into the light. that could be part of why the corals are doing so well.
so far I'm very happy with this light and feel it was worth every penny. hope I'm saying the same thing a year from now...lol

also there is no spottiness it truly mimics the look of a halide. but gives you more ability to tweak to your liking than a halide does.

my tanks is a standard 90, all the reviews and everything ive read (which has been a cubic-poop-ton) says taht you need one for ever 24x24" you'll need at LEAST 2, but will get teh most out of 3. you can start out with 2 if your changing over from T5HO's or weaker MH's, but if you want the "no B.S. Halide" look then youll prolly wanna go with 3.

100% excited about this. did you come up with your lighting program on your own or "barrow" from some one else? thats prolly the features im most excited about, getting to share your sucess with others who have the same light.

people should take a 24 hour time laps video and shrink it down to about 3-5 minutes and share their file as a thread on here called "FOR RADION OWNERS ONLY!"

    hmmm.. ? :D

well when you take their program and put it into your radion, you can watch it in 30 seconds 1 minute and longer.
I'm using the natural mode programed by ecotech, with my depth set at 21, which is equivalent to 14k from what i was told and a short moonlight that i programed in. i had a problem programing , and called ecotech, they got me started , now i am fine. i think they lack in their manual, but what they lack there they more than make up for in customer service 10 fold. i called and they walked me threw it all. also helped me to set up the first program. and with that i spoke to someone who told me all night moon lights were not a good idea. he felt 8 hours of darkness was needed. that we all need darkness. corals and fish as do we. i took his advice and i can tell you my corals are looking great. and I'm only at 80% power at this time i have been upping the power slowly. I'm past do on upping the power, and will get to it this week. i feel at this time all is thriving. and being only 14 inches deep I'm not sure how much i can set the power at. I'm well over the light my 150w halide was delivering. but honestly i feel the 150w wasn't enough. i lost clams with the 150w halide light.

the programming on the light is really amazing. and it no way looks like its led it looks more like halide lighting.

i have read it takes 2 months for a clam to starve to death. so far I'm only 6 weeks in with the light. both clams are responding when i pass my hand over them and block light. so thats a good sign. have you tried goggling clam and radion. and see how others are doing?
how strong are your halides? i noticed the one site i bought my clams from now states a clam needs 250w to 400w halide. i never seen that before. the radion is supposed to be as strong as a 250w halide at max power.
i did speak to someone on the phone when i ordered my last clam and asked about the led and the clam. she said they have customers they do tank maintenance for, that have clams under led and there are no problems.
also mikejrice has a few clams i noticed and he has had the radion over his tank a bit longer than i have. maybe you could private message him. his tank is probably as deep as yours from the pictures i seen.
