Was wondering which ones I can get under a 4 bulb t5 HO Fixture in a 46 bow (18" Depth)

So far I was told Montipora capricornis does good, so I picked up a frag of that but want to keep some other types, possibly some Acropora. What else does ok?

acropora is tricky... you can get away with montipora digitata, birdsnest, pocillapora. if you go with an acro make sure its a real hardy one like bali green slimer or something like that

I have a variety of acros under my T5's and they are doing great. You can put just about anything under there, just place them according to their lighting needs.

I have an acro under my T5 fixture and it's doing good. Just make sure you place it up high in your tank and give it good flow.

With only a 4 bulb setup, you would need to keep an acro at the very top of your rockwork.

Greens tend to need the least amount of light
Blues tend to require the most.

I am not sure I would attempt a blue acro under your light. Any color of Pocci will do great.

+1 on this as well. I have my acro about 8 in below the waters surface and it's growing nicely, but I have a 6x54 bulb fixture. You maybe want to keep yours in the 4-6in range if you're only doing 4 bulbs.
I had a MAJOR "whoops" while trying to remove it from the frag plug and all of the resulting pieces from that have taken off. Definitely do-able under t5's.

Just go with high PAR bulbs and your colors will be fine

I have to clarify a point that hasn't been mentioned yet. It all depends on your light fixture. Not every 4-bulb T5 HO is the same - the light output will depend on the ballasts and the reflectors, and whether you have active cooling (bulbs run brighter if cooler). If you have a high quality fixture with good SLR (single bulb) reflectors and active cooling, you can keep pretty much whatever corals you want in your small 46g tank (which is, after all, only 18" high). Of course, the higher up your corals are, the better they will do. But if your fixture is not as good, you won't be able to keep most acros unless they are at the very top of your tank. And even then, they may lose colour.

High PAR is good for growth but remember two things. First, corals can only use so much light. Second, IME, the spectrum of bulb is very important for color, not just PAR. I have a variety of sps under my 6x54w Tek fixture. I have acros, montis and birdsnests. I have found that I have actually bleached some of my montis and have needed to keep them pretty low in the tank.
