    Finally, it's time to get a protein skimmer (actually past time, but oh well). The choices that we have found that meet our size requirements for an in-sump pump are: CPR Aquatic SR4, AquaC Urchin Pro, Nautilus TE, and Turboflotor 1000.

    We would like to know your opinions and why you have these opinions.

    Also, if you know of any others that might work please let me know.

    [glow=Blue, 2, 80%]Leesa,

    As you can see from my signature, I use an AquaMedic Turbofloater 1000 multi. I have it hanging on the back of my sump, but I could just as well put it in my sump (that is why it is called the "multi").

    I highly recommend this skimmer. I have owned dozens of skimmers in my 20yrs of keeping SW fish, but this is by far the best. You can read my review of it in the Product Review section.

    I hope this helps.[/glow]

    I really like Aqua-C's products. Excellent quality and craftsmanship. Unique venturi, easily cleaned (clogs less then any other). Venturi is really energy cost effective, requiring less juice to run (big deal here in CAL, we pay up the ass for juice)

    I'm running a Turboflotor 1000; it hangs outside my sump. It was easy to set up and was running efficiently within one week with minimal tinkering. So far it's been worth the money.

    Got my aquamedic turboflotor multi sl 1000. Just making foam. Have pic's! Need either a new sump or the box that keeps the bubbles out. Makes micro-bubbles. Real Nice!!!
    No Problem! not many bubbles as before and making skimmate.
