So I got my first order from liveaquaria today. 2 tankbred ocellaris, which seem almost transluscent, BTW (does that mean they're still juveniles? They're swimming together nicely), a yellow tang and a TINY blue tang, about an inch and a half I would guess. I acclimated them all and stuck the two clowns in the main tank and setup a AT for the two tangs.

So for my QT I setup a 10g and had to take the extension off of my filter's intake to make it fit. I was in a hurry to get back to work and didn't think things through, specifically putting some screen or a sponge over the now-open intake tube (you can see where this is going). So I got home a few hours later and all looked well. I popped in True Grit and after 15 or 20 minutes decided to go take a peek at the livestock. Needless to say I panicked when I saw the BT missing. I ripped off the intake tube and flushed water through it repeatedly but nothing came out. I checked all around the tank and in the body of the filter but still nothing. So after looking I decided to pick up the intake tube and flush it again and into my hand lands the little bigger. I didn't know how long it was in there but he's swimming around just fine :)

So far this hobby has dealt me a lucky hand!

Nice fish you picked for that tank. Blue tangs are amazing once they grow up, and lets hope he lives until maturity!

Congrats on the adds. Not sure about the OCs. Could just be stress, shipping, etc.. tough to say without a picture. If they're swimming around and eating well, I probably wouldn't worry, the color should come back.

he was trying to go back to the ocean. He attempted to stop the filters by throwing a rock into the intake. Then when you took the fish out to clean the tank, he would push the bag and fall into the ocean. But he got stuck when the rock got pushed over and the current started pulling him in.

what was your experience with Liveaquaria? I was debating/nervous on ordering fish online and would like to hear what you have to say.

    Thanks
