Now that winter break is over I finally brought my Dymax IQ3 to work today to setup on my desk. 8)

My plan is to place my rock with GSP on it in there from my display tank, a shrimp of some kind and down the road probably my bubble coral.

    Immediate concern is a heater.

May be able to fit one under the wet/dry, but I assume the only real safe option is in the display right? :p

    Where would you put it?
Any recs on a heater that won't explode ( :) ) and is small enough for this thing?

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for suggestion - dimensions are nice there. And I note this is the 'old style'...

The thing with putting it on the return side is evap - you have to keep that up or the heater gets exposed right? Or is that where the 'shatterproof' comes in?

I had problems with my nano keeping the heater in the sump area. Wouldn't keep my tank temp good. I thought I had a defective heater, returned it for a different one and figured it was the flow through the filtration. Had to keep it in the display. You may want to try it for a while before stocking.

Those are attractive in this case but what I don't get is how it regulates heat as you can't control it?
