What's wrong with my silicone?

Nope, I accidentally put a crack in my sump and put a layer of silicone on the outside and the crack has not gotten larger. No deaths after applying the silicone either.

 

Ill try to silicone the outside for the time being then. Thanks.

I'm kinda glad it wasn't one of the other 2 corners that I can't see. If it was one of them I wouldn't have any idea.

To do this I have to take my 90g off the top and remove center brace then pull the tank up and out. Ahhhh my fuge is just starting to go crazy with copepods and amphipods too. And my tank has never looked better.

To sum it up. THIS SUCKS

dude that sucks. I would say it looks like the silicone is seperating so a new tank is in order (JMPO). I would do like others are suggesting and call the manufacture of the tank and send pics if need be. I wouldnt try siliconing it up from the outside until talking to the manufacture about it. they may want to send someone to look at it before they make a dicission (just a possibility). what type of tank is it? The warranty if its an AGA/aqueon is 90 day 10 gal and below,5 yr 15 to 55, limited lifetime 56 and larger. the aqueon phone # is 800-255-4527. hope this will help.


If you need any info I pulled the sticker off the 55 gal I have in the garage that I am turning in to a sump. I can take a pic and post it if you need me too. just let me know

I can't see a sticker on the tank. Its prob on the bottom. When I called the lfs they said most of the tanks that size are california customs. That's who I emailed today. Hopefully I can hear something back soon cuz I've been checking it like every 10 min now lol. I always overworry about my tank. To the point of loosing sleep over it. Its a serious condition lmao

So I came home from work to find a pinhole leak that started. I Drained the sump completely.
Starting to get stuff together for when I gotta switch it. Hopefully this weekend. I'm thinking this will take 2 days to do.
My buddys loaning me a 29g with a 150 halide to put the coral in for the time being. I'm thinking put the yellow tang in there also. Then the clowns and chromis and goby can go in the live rock buckets.
What do ya think?
