Whats this in my water?

Newspaper won't release ink, its actually a very sterile product, even great for cleaning windows and glass.

I had a similar thing happen in my first tank that didnt have an overflow. like stated the best way to rid this without the use of an overflow is to get a power and position it right at the surface.

 

Oh strange, yet good to know. Though I have heard of it as a glass cleaner. Yet good to know. Is it more absorbent that paper towels? That got some of it, but not all.
