Whats the difference between.....

a pond master mag 12 and a regualr mag 12....other then the 10 dollar difference?

 

I really don't think there is. The only thing I can think of is possibly with the seals. I am guessing the real difference it who is selling it.

 

One of them has a much longer cord.

 

they are both on doctor foster and smith and im assuming the more expensive one has a longer cord which would be the pond master one

 

I reckon your right, the copper and the plastics (oil related) in the extra cord lenght will be the main reason for price difference
plus external power cable is of a higher spec possibly its rubber rather than PVC as rubber more tolerant of weather conditions, than internal cable is (an assumption based on UK safety standards)

Longer cord and the Pond Master is UL listed since it is designed for outdoor use.
