Whats better Acrylic or Glass?

    Thanks for the feedback. My local glass company is deep sea aquatics. I am trying to get them to build me the 300. I appriciate the info on the stand because im building my own.

    that glass tank will be a PITA to lift FYI.

    If your gonna be moving the tank, or it will be not be growing coralline I would recommend the acrylic.

    How do you not grow coraline??? I have a FOWLR set up for my Mom and it has coraline growing crazy, with no lights.

    If you are going with Starphire glass, you don't need to worry about the clarity benefit of acrylic over normal glass. I think this is the way to go for sure.

    so you have no light on the tank and it still grows?

    A.G.E is a major manufacturer of high end aquariums and is located in Garland. You'll have to get a LFS to order it but they make some of the nicest tanks around.

    Personally - I'm a glass guy. Don't have the patience for acrylic

    My front panel is star fire and I honestly can't see color differences in the corals or fish...I wish I woulds put that money into black silicone honestly...

    Like mad! Every time I go over there's more and more to scrape off. And I do. It's all over the rocks and glass.
